CHARIS STANEK
Clinician - LSW
Charis is a Licensed Social Worker in Ohio who approaches therapy with a
collaborative, compassionate, and strengths-based perspective. She received her
Master’s of Social Work from The Ohio State University, where she is also currently
pursuing her PhD. Her academic and clinical interests center on identity development,
relational care, and resilience. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS),
allowing her to integrate structured, evidence-based tools with deeper insight-oriented
work.
Charis works with individuals navigating life transitions, relationship stress (romantic,
peer, and family), grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, and academic or
workplace stress. She is especially passionate about helping clients process and make
meaning of their life experiences, supporting them in developing a stronger sense of
self, and fostering empowerment through intentional self-reflection and skill-building.
Charis prioritizes building meaningful therapeutic relationships and creating shared
goals with clients, helping them feel understood, supported, and actively engaged in
their own growth. She believes therapy is not just about symptom reduction but about
helping people author a personal narrative that feels authentic, meaningful, and aligned
with their values.​
