ALLISON LI
Allison Li is a Counselor Trainee (CT) joining us this summer as part of her graduate training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Counselor Education at The Ohio State University, where she also serves as an Assistant Hall Director, supporting student well-being and community development on campus. Allison brings a unique combination of research experience and student support work to her role, with a background that reflects both academic rigor and a deep commitment to mental health.
Allison’s passion areas involve working with communities of color through a critical and multi-faceted exploration of ethnic, cultural, and racial identities, with a specific focus on the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) diaspora. Through the discussion of identity, community solidarity, and intersectionality, Allison aims to create meaningful narratives that can translate into client empowerment in the mental health space. She enjoys working with therapeutic modalities such as Narrative, Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Feminist/Queer, and Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT).
